hi,
i have problem with my laptop:toshiba satellite 2105 with installed WIN98, when i start Explore 5.0 appears the message "illegal operation". In the details of problems appears a conflict of memory with the file SHELL32.DLL.
What would you suggested? I need to re-install the Operating system?

Many people (including certified technicians) jump the gun and re-install windows when they encounter such problems. In most cases it does not fix it. What I have found immensely helpful is the Microsoft knowledge base. Go to their site and search the knowledge base using the EXACT FULL wording of the error message as the search criteria. You will most likely find the exact cause and fix, or at least get a real good clue as to what is happening.
