ok if anyone can help me, Id be grateful. I want to explain the situation clealy so I'm sorry in advance if it gets too long.

I think i was reciently hacked into. O was playing a game online and made a new enemy. (just becasue i kept killing him). Anyway, when I got off the game and tried to do some homework, explorer crashed (not the browser, the file manager). I restarted my computer, and have restarted it several times and it always crashes. Then I checked the startup programs (you know msconfig) and there was a new program that I have no idea where it came from--so I am assuming it was planted maliciously (sp?)-- anyway the program title is named Tiger and it executes a file caled shine.exe. it also did some werd things with my ipsharing log . . . but anyway. i've removed the program but I am still having problems getting the computer to start up. it crashes ehern it gets to loading explorer. can anyone help me assess the situation and provide so tips. Thank you very much in advance.

Kiel

Virus-scan it. BUY a virusscanner, norton is very good. Download zonealarm, its free. Download pview95.exe to see what programs are running.

Hi Kiel:
First of all, don't you have a virus protection?
If not i would get one as soon as possible, try
AVG it is ve good and it is free. Also you will
need a firewall.I would suggest SYGATE it is
super good and free. Now you will need to go into windows explorer and look around for that
program and delete it,also go into add and remove programs and see if this program is there.
