I recently re installed windows 95, and when i transfered my program setup files to the computer, they came up with alerts.

for instance: "this program has performend an illegal operation and will be shut down"

or "CRC check on installer failed"

i have about 9 installation programs and only one setup.exe works.

does any one know how to fix this problem?

PS: i downloaded a fresh copy of winamp, and it also comes up with "illegal operation" warning.

thanks
Kris

Hi,
It is a possibility you may have been infected with the i-worm.lenting.G virus which destroys all anti-virus software, as well as killing the KLEZ and SIRCAM viruses! The virus also stops all .exe files from running. Take a look on f-secures website for more information....

Hope this helps
