get following oe after downloading update to media player. computer wont shutoff and i unistalled media player but problem still exists. this comes up after startup and desktop is all running. an exception oe has occured 0028:C183278F in VxD scsi1hlp(03) + 0000051F. this was called from 0028:C1832778 in VxD scsi1hlp(03) + 00000508. if you can help or point me in the direction to fix it i would be grateful. thank you

You could try booting to DOS and enter the command:
scannreg /fix or scanreg /restore

You go Start button/Shut Down then select "Restart in MS-DOS mode"
At the black screen you type the commands exactly as given in #1 (one at a time) then hit the Return key.
I would try scanreg /fix first.
To get back to Windows you just type exit and hit Return key.
If that doesn't cure the problem then repeat the process but typing scanreg /restore this time. Select a registry dated just before the problem started (if available).
Summary: I'M HAVING LOTS OF DIFFERENT PROBLEMS WHEN TRYING TO BOOT THE PC. SOMETIMES I CANT GET TO BIOS OTHER TIMES IT LOADS WINDOWS FULLY OR IN SAFE MODE. I THINK MAYBE THERE ARE SEVERAL DIFFERENT REASONS BUT...
