Hi, When ever I access Network neighbourhood and browse any folders, I get the blue screen saying 'exception OE(0029....) has occurred in VXD VMM'.... But some times it works fine. I have new D-link 10/100 Mbps network adapter. The drivers are all perfect. I also tried MS Regclean to fix any registry problems. The mother board is Octek (VIA MVP4 Chipset) with a lot of jumper settings in it for AMD K6 550 processor. Is there any thing to do with this? HDD is 40 GB seagate. (The system was formatted twice before WHen I was getting diff kind of Fatal Exceptions or Exception OE Continiously) Any Ideas?? Plz help..

I can find lots of refernces to an exception OE (0028: ), but none for 0029. Also, is there a number in () after the VXD VMM ?

I had the same problem and it drove me crazy. I blamed everything. I also have an AMD K6 and it turns out this is apparently a flaw with the CPU chip. It is heat sentitive. You may find that with a bigger CPU fan (helped me a little), or leaving the case open (helped me a lot), the problem will minimize or disappear altogether

Heat in excess of 60C for AMD cpu is ONE documented cause of the OE error. There are, of course, a bunch of other reasons for it, too. Would be very strange if guru's cpu heated up to 60C or more only when Network Neighborhood were accessed...
