I read all the mails about this Fatal eception but i do not know what to do with the error i am getting. The error i am getting every time running an application in win98 is "An exception oE has occurred at 028:c001D8B0 in vxd NDIS(01)+00005D3C. This was called from 0028:C001C194 in vxd NDIS(01)+00004620" I need to run this application, but i do not know what to do with this error. Thanks

firstly my one piece of advice to you is that you re install the program, often a program has crashed and the only way to solve it is to re install it.

I fyou contimune to experience the exception error. I have found a site that gives some solutions www.iceraidr.com. From waht i know its sounds like you have a virtual driver error. This is in the system registry and requires you to edit it. If the problem has been solved I strogly recommend making a bakup copy of the system reg. by 1) type "sysreg" at the run prompt 2) file- save as - 30 Save it to a location on your disk you do not use Hope it works Amit

Thanks a lot for the replays. About the first solution it did not work. I will try the second one. I want to explain more about what i am doing that cause this error. I am installing the driver for infrared port. However, it can be installed normally, but when i am trying to run Irmon application, my computer gives this error or sometimes it restarts. i tried even to reinstall the OS, but it did not work. My PC is working normally,it is just when i want to run this application. Thanks alot
