excel protected worksheets problem

ive got two pages in an unprotected workbook that seem to be protected (i cannot modify any data) this is a shared work book and the option to unprotect these sheets is greyed out because the book is not protected how do i get around this
Summary: No do no reinstall excell. What version of excel are you running? Reformat the sheet to how you want it to look then go to tools , protect worksheet and protect it. Save at this time. exit and go back...
