Comment:

I need an excel macro that will go to cell A1, copy the value and then look for that value (find) in a range. The value varies, so I need to have it copy the value as it exists and then paste the value as it exists (into the find dialog). I noticed it will copy the current value but when you paste it is not the current value, it is the value that was first recorded into the macro.
I have tried various referencing types- relative, absolute, and a mixture of the two.

Any ideas?????

Don't know the answer to your question , but you may be interested in UnFrag .
UnFrag -- Win9x, WinNT4, Win2K
If you are extremely particular about your hard drive maintenance,
check this out. UnFrag searches for compound document files. Compound
document files are created by applications such as Word and Excel that
support Object Linking and Embedding (OLE) and are not normally
recognized as being fragmented by your Defrag utility. Unfrag lets
you get a handle on these files. PokPok has used Unfrag for a couple
of years and endorses it without reservation.
