When I try to open up excel, it gives me an
error: Excel caused an invalid page fault in
module Excel.exe at 0177:30026d69.
Uninstalled msoffice 2000 then reinstalled
it. Does anybody know how to fix this
problem. Cannot open up excel.

As to the cause I am not so sure as I cannot pinpoint it exactly from MSKB. It seems install-remove-reinstall may not be welcome by MS! Some suspect swap file can cause trouble to it.
But as the resolution, I have seen report on its being sucessfully resolved running Office200 SP2. The SP2 is out in 2000.11 and it is big 8+MB. Download it from
http://search.officeupdate.microsoft.com/downloadCatalog/default.asp?product=Excel
One precaution is in order. The patch will also implement some security features in Outlook which may prevent you from reading some e-mail attachments. More info on the SP2 is at
http://office.microsoft.com/2000/downloaddetails/SP2upd.htm
If you like to experiment a bit, before using SP2 solution, try to verify in your computer by setting to manage virtual memory, the swap file, by your own whereby setting the max size to at least 225MB and min at least 150 to see if you can open excel2K. If not, just switch back to your original setting. It won't harm anything.
Care to feedback results?
