Hello I am trying to reload my drivers for a network card. I removed the adapter from device drivers then restarted the computer. After new hardware was found it trys to reload the driver which it finds in window inf folder. I also tryed to point it to the files I downloaded from the vendor but when I open the folder no files show up. I even tried putting an extension of .inf but no luck. Does anyone have a simple way to do this?? really lost michael

Do you have the original driver? And if you do, is it a name brand, like 3com or something? If it is you should do a search of your "C" drive for that name and delete all associated files. Then try reinstalling it. I just had a 3 day troubleshoot with my 3com and router. But did it just the way I said and it works fine now.

A simpler way to accomplish cleaning registry entries is to first remove the hardware and then run a registry cleaner. It should find all the stray entries for you.

It took me three days also to figure it out quick question Terri are you on Road Runner and have a Linksys router? RR did a global IP change and it all came to the Linksys router I had to reinstall program and after that worked fine. BaddboyDon
