This thing is driving me bonkers. I have a packard bell legend 814, pentium 120. 1.2 gig hardrive, 24 meg ram, windows 98. The main problem I have now is my sound card(see subject). When I try to play something with realplayer g2, it sticks on the 1st note and stays there in a staccato pattern, or a skipping sound. it repeats about 8 times a second. I downloaded an updated driver from drivershq, how do you update drivers in win98? Ive had this sound prob for 2 or 3 mo.s . I dont know how it started. Ive always been able to restart and it would go away. I just now downloaded realplayer, and cant play anything with it. I can play all other sound files ,midi, .au, etc. Anyone have any ideas?
I'm trying to download an upgrade for my ES 1688, and am having difficulty finding a website. I am told my the computer that I have a half duplex and need a full one to be able to use my soundcard to it's full extent. Can you help me? L.
