"Cannot load or run winbatch.exe specified in the win.ini file."Any help is appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

Hi Arnold.
Try this below.
Register Fix.
Go to start, Run, type scanreg /restore
Remember to leave a space between the g and the /. Then set the register back a day or two, to before you had the problem. Have a nice day.

Ok this has been going on for a couple of months. I am visiting my parents for christmas and they asked me to fix there computer. I fixed the first error but i still need help with the winbatch error.

Hi Arnold.
Go to Start>Run and type Sysedit
Click on the Win.ini window to bring it to the front, scroll down until you find an entry that mentions winbatch.exe, highlight it, then right click and chose delete.
This will stop your error message.
Amie

As for the `winbatch.exe` file, well I do have a suggestion, or a resolve. First off, you need to locate the place where this file will in generic conditions exist. Then, you need the setup folder of the Windows 98, the one from which you originally installed your copy of the Operating System. After you have fulfilled the prerequisite tasks, open up the RUN prompt and type SFC. This will open up a new application that is used solely for extracting lost system files from the windows setup directory into the specificed location. Study the windows and the features it offers, and then choose the one your desire.
