I suggest that you upgrade to IE5 with its mulimedia enhancements, but first make sure to upgrade to DirectX 6.1. Your problem is with DirectDraw. Run the DirectX Diag program to identify the fault and ensure your graphics card is using the latest drivers.

Solución: vuelve a instalar win95.

yup, same here...
I also have this prob when playing Evolva, something to do with ATI-applications (ATI 128 Rage Fury, i.e. ATIRDRAA.dll)
Maybe, just maybe, it's caused by an overheated cpu or something. I haven't figured it out yet though...

Help!

DDHelp.exe is driving me crazy too. I have a 300 Mhz Celeron on a intel Bx40 motherboard
64 MB RAM latest internet explorer (5.5) , latest videodriver for my Riva TnT2 M64 videocard. The error started when I upgraded
to Direct X 7.0 A. I tried everything I could
without result. Ddhelp.exe freaks out at random it seems. Most of the errors happen
when I am NOT playing DirectX games (Invalid Page fault in module unknown). There is only one game with problems "The Aztec".I can play for about 10 minutes then the prog exits to desktop without any error msg.
This makes absolutely no sense to me anymore.
Look like the problem is with ddhelp itself, and not with videodrivers etc. Only 1 thing to say.... Heeeeeeeeeeelp.

I've had DDhelp invalid page faults a couple of times while trying to run a multimedia application in the past. I've spent hours trying to track the error down and I have found that the sound card driver is the culprit in many instances. Try uninstalling the sound card and the drivers then run the game or app and see if the error appears. Aztech uses Yamaha's soft synth syxg-50 and it conflicts with Windows Media v.7.0 and Apple Quick Time 4.0 and 4.1. I would concentrate on soundcards and Direct X errors first.

Get yourself a copy of taskmanager from Idyle software and use it to disable ddhelp.exe. This will cause whatever game your'e using to re-initialize ddhelp.exe (a direct-x component) when the game is started. (I'm pretty sure about this. Correct me if you know differently.)
