Comment:
(Windows 98 related problem with Windows 98 second edition updates loaded) Upon start up, the following message appears inside of an Error Starting Program box.
Batmeter.dll file is linked to missing export setupapi.dll: SetupDiEnumDeviceInterfaces.
My question is how can I repair or replace what is wrong with my computer? Since this error has started appearing, I no longer have access to volume control or energy saving features for the monitor.
I thank you for any assistance that you can offer.

The message says that you are missing the "SETUPAPI.DLL" file. This file normally resides in your "Windows\System" folder. Check to see if it's there. If not, then you can get it on your Win98 CDROM. It is located in the Win98 folder in a CAB file named "Win98_38.CAB". It is a compressed file so you will need Winzip or similar program to get at it and copy to your hard drive.
