Hi. Actually, at times my computer works smoothly, but sometimes and it has become frequent the last 2 days that I see a lot of error messages like "Explorer errors" and "iexplore" errors and many other blue screen errors which will make my computer stiff. Resetting the pc at the same time will not prevent the error messages appearing again with different reasons.

So I formatted the computer this morning hoping to solve the problem using Fdisk and format tools. During the win98 setup, I faced many different strange type of errors and blue screens with different type of errors at each restart, some of which are: "A FATAL EXCEPTION OE HAS OCCURRED AT 0028: C1850DB0 IN VXD SERIAL (03)+00000750" or ""A FATAL EXCEPTION OE HAS OCCURRED AT 0028: C00051EF IN VXD VMM(01)+000041EF" or "MSGSRV32 CAUSED A GENERATION PROTECTION FAULT..." or "REGSVR32 CAUSED AN INVALID PAGE FAULT IN MODULE MSDATL2.DLL AT ...".

Each time I get a different bunch of errors.
I bought the computer in 1997. I am suspecting a Ram problem. (I changed the vga 2 months ago because of a problem in it) . Please give me your opinion.

Also, when I try to enter into safe mode, it rarely works. I receive an error " HIMEM.SYS HAS DETECTED UNRELIABLE XMS MEMORY AT ADDRESS 02100010 XMS DRIVER NOT INSTALLED". AFTER REMOVING AND PLACING BACK THE RAMS, THE ERROR IS GONE.

SORRY FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.
HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON.

BEST REGARDS
LAWRENCE

I would try another format/install again. It sounds like your RAM wasn't seated properly anymore.
