You may be having an issue with installing a program that uses InstallShield.

This error is caused by a Dynamic Link Library (DLL) file (such as Oleaut32.dll, Olepro32.dll, Asycfilt.dll, Stdole2.tlb) installed on the Operating System by the mouse program, that is not compatible with that system.

Since you are running W98SE, try running mcrepair, found here:

http://download.microsoft.com/downl...US/mcrepair.EXE

It contains a set of DLLs consisting of:

ASYCFILT.DLL 2.40.4515
OLEAUT32.DLL 2.40.4515
OLEPRO32.DLL 5.0.4515
STDOLE2.TLB 2.40.4515

and will properly unregister (uninstall) the wrong files, and register (install) this set.

Post back on how it goes.

Gutes Glück!!

Anders,

This Remote Proceedure Call (RPC) problem may occur when the current version of oleaut32.dll for your Operating System is overwritten by a newer copy or another third party version. Installshield looks to C:\Windows\System for a specific version, and the version has changed.

You can download the file as mentioned in the previous post, or you can extract a copy of oleaut32.dll from your Win98SE CD and replace the one in C:\Windows\System.

In order to get the one from the W98SE CD, you need to use the System File Checker (SFC) utility.

If you need help with any of this, post back.
