All systems and programs all seem to work okay but I cannot stop the message appearing.
I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling IE6.
Any help appreciated.

Go to the control panel when not connected to the net, open "add & remove programs", find line "internet explorer and his tools", open it, 3 options avalaibles, one is "repair", send the procedure, IE will scan and check for corrupted or damaged files, reboot at the end of procedure.

Hi Imp,
Thanks for prompt reply.
Alas, I have already tried this repair procedure and it has not stopped the message.
I guess the problem is within windows98 rather than the IE6 program itself?
Any other suggestions?

Hi y'all,

Try going to Start/run
Type in msconfig
Check the shell lines in system ini..Should read explorer.exe and in old shell also...
Also check win.ini for run=and load= lines..They should be blank..
Another choice would be to run MCrepair..Get it here.

Shot in the dark..
