On a HP Omnibook 2000 with W95(US), Excel (Office 97 Pro-NL) starts with the message:
"Unable to locate the file menu"
on shut-down we get the message:
"Instant Access not Removed"
The program works OK, the two windows with the messages are very irritating.
Anybody any clue????

Right click on the excel icon on the desktop and click properties. On the command line put a /E after the excel.exe command. This should run excel and not load any macros programmed to execute by default.

I have a file that has about 500 lines of data. It's about 35 columns wide, and has the autofilter turned on. When filtering, I sometimes get the error message "Fixed objects will move" and then the program crashes and says : "The instruction at "0x30132c9f" referenced memory at "0x00000000". The memory could not be "read". The program then terminates. This happens on a few computers in my network with the same file. Anyone got any clue to where I could find help??

(Windows 2000 running Office 2000)
