Please read forum 12487.html. I still can't get cd rom working in dos. I followed ryans instructions but don't know how to save a file in dos. ctrl f/s doesn't work. I would appreciate any help with reloading this cd dos driver.I still have oakdrom.sys file in c drive. Thanks Marilyn

If the Oakcdrom came with a distribution disk it will create DOS drivers in the Config.sys and Autoexec.bat when put in A: drive and "Install.bat" (or something similiar) is run.
The config.sys gets the hardware driver and the autoexec.bat gets Microsofts mscdex.exe file to load with the proper parameters. Hope you can find the disk.
