Epson stylus 440 will not print black

Help! My Epson Stylus 440 will not print black ink, i have re-installed the driver to no effect and there are no technical problems with the printer that i know of because it worked fine on another persons computer. However as far as i know it will print in colour. Thankyou.

Hi Chris Cole: When you run printer on friend's PC did you use his printer cable, if you did then you might have a bad cable or connector. I had problems with the color ink cartridge not printing, I had to remove & clean small air hole in top of cartridge. Seams that they became pluged & couldn't get air inside to release ink.
