A family member is sending me photos via email. The extension is .pzp and I cannot view them. Please tell me step by step how to create an association. I have MGI and Adobe Photo Deluxe if this helps.
Thanks.

Just making an association to the extension wont allow you to view them... the program you use has to support the format. If none of your programs support the format get the same program your family member is using or ask them to send them in a format the you support... GIF or JPG-JPEG would be 2 of the better ones since there small in size. To see if one of your programs supports the extension... open a file in each of them in choose to save as... use the "down" box to see all the extension options that are available. If a program has the .pzp extension, then goto the picture with the pzp and right click... then choose "Open With" and find the program on the list... then make sure "always open with.." is checked. Double click on the program and boom... the program should now by default open the pictures.

that is a Pizazz Plus file format, I believe.
1)So you need a program that can handle that format, and I doubt that there are very many,
and use that program to open it. Or get, buy, Pizazz Plus and install
2)Send the email back is the best approach, have the sender convert to a more common format like jpg or bmp

Thank you for the quick response. The person sending the email just got a computer and I tried to explain about converting the file to gif or jpg earlier. No luck. I thought I could remedy the situation at my end. Thanks again for the help.

You might want to look at the free IrfanView Graphic Viewer, I think it opens more extensions than most do.
