Hello to everyone. This is the first time I post to this forum, I hope I'll meet the information I wish.
Well when you right click on the taskbar you can see the following commands (sorted from top to bottom):
Toolbars, Cascade Windows, Tile Windows Horizontially, Tile Windows Vertically, Minimize All Windows, Properties. What registry editing should be done that a new command appears... Maximize All Windows and how that command will do what is says?
Enigma2002

G'day Enigma, I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings but those 'commands' [called Menu Items] are not in the Registry, they are Menu Resource strings in Explorer.exe and using a Resource Editor you can at least rename or remove any but adding with a command to do what you want might be very tricky if at all possable, maybe with a Hex Editor but I doubt it as it might stuff-up the file.
But they can definately be renamed or removed, I have removed the entire Help menu from there and altered a few other menus as well.
Resource editing can be great fun to tweak files but can be thwart with danger.
Exescope and Reshacker are two of the best of these type of programs.
Take care if you try them [backup first]

Can't remember their homepages but they should should show up in your search engine easily and near the start.
Exescope is shareware but opens 16 and 32 bit executables [latest version limits to modifying one file per day until registered]
Reshacker is freeware and only opens 32 bit executables
File-types that can be edited: *.exe,*.dll,*.cpl [really dll's], *.scr, *.drv, *.ocx, *.vbx
Resources include:
icons, bitmaps, menu items, dialog boxes [resize, reposition, re-arrange, remove, reword], strings [text] for dialog boxes, cursors, avi files, audio files, html files and other stuff like Registry installion keys. All are embedded in most of these file-types , but not all have these resources, and can be imported and exported [images, audio etc].Most system files are in use and can be modified to a copy first and reloaded thru DOS. Always keep a copy of the original and makes notes of any changes if you like [recommended].
Good luck

yep, it's the only file that contains that menu. Best thing to do is just look at things first before you try anything and if you do something, do it one at a time to see how you go.
This is for the Advanced user and just tip-toe thru it all first. Just for an easy test to try out your new found skills make a copy of Regedit.exe and work on that [rename it and it will still work], Find the String #2 under the Resource list and you will see the words '19,My Computer', change it to your name [or whatever] and save and exit [don't touch the preceding numbers or the comma, only the words]. Then open the file and your name will appear at the top of the tree in Regedit, this is resource editing.
Play with the menus in this copy of Regedit.exe to get used to it, this is not touching your registry as it is only a program to view it.

I've downloaded both programs you recommended to me and I will start experimenting as soon as I get in the mood. Also I've discovered two interesting articles:

no worries Enigma, I'll look at those files, now I gotta reinstall Acrobat again....aaaghhh
Good luck with it all anyway.
