ImageWave can't finish scanning this page. Try again. If problem persists, try turning off your computer. Unplug the power for your ImageWave, and then reconnect it. Then re-start your computer. Error Code <20004>

To all of my fellow smartpage scanner users. This site should help you out... If you are still having trouble, I can put a copy of my CD on my ftp site. I can also get the drivers for compatibility with NT. Let me know if you have any questions...

HAs anybody figured out how to get an EASYphoto Imagewave scanner to work on Windows 98. Works fine on Windows 95.

to KEN and all the rest of the poor souls looking for win98 drivers for the Smartpage Imagawave scanner. I have a bit of bad news...The stopped producing our scanner last year ( or earlier this year, one of the two) SOOO that means we are SOL on obtaining updated drivers for the scanner. I had to go back to win 95 for a short while until I picked up a new scanner. The old one is now a paper weight.

Try this joit out dudes and dudettes...

Finally. This great site has pretty much everything you need: http://www.windrivers.com/company/stormtech/index.htm

Thanks Mike!!!you saved me a headache from Mercury!!!(using 32bit imagewave with easy photo under win98),i got another computer and switched from win95-win98. noticed a serious performance degrade, scanner locks up and the error displayed"image wave could not complete the scan turn off power to computer/scanner and try again...!"
Now that i have found this site from your input here....i downloaded the 936KB zip file and installed it....restarted computer and gave it a go. Everyone should be aware that it may perform different than before.
I was used to seeing the scanner window automatically launch when i initiated the easyphoto icon and you would see the "countdown" while warming up phase was in progress.
Now under this new driver....(936KBzip)
you get this window that says "Acquire" and i had to figure things out...and on "Acquire" there is the "Add Photos to Gallery" icon and "NOW" you select a source!!!everyone else should be able to figure it out from here on.
ALSO!!!!!i notice a REMARKABLE IMPROVEMENT IN SPEED! i'm talking ROADRUNNER SPEED HERE!!! the scanner moves much faster than before!
THANKS MIKE...you saved me from hours or prehaps even DAYS!!!of anguish......capricornone.....always the hardway!

I am also in need of the easyphoto imagewave scanner driver.. I seem not to be able ot find a sit that i am able to download this driver... could someone show me a way to looke for a driver that is compatible with win98,,,, thanx

alright i installed the updated drivers and the scanners behavior didnt change at all there was no new way to accesss anything and no change in the error with it staying at the far end and not returning. have win98SE if that matters.

My PC crashed and i can't find the cd for my EasyPhoto ImageWave that i got from aol. If ya know where i can get the driver for this scanner please let me know.

Ummmmmmmmmm...
For some reason, I keep on getting this error saying for me to change my Port settings to EPP and it is on EPP. I changed it many times to see if it would make a difference. But I was just wondering if my scanner is possibly broken. The light used to stay on all the time and then suddenly one day, it was off... and it hasnt been working since...
If you know any information about this. Please email me. Thanks.

Here is the sight to answers ALL your driver questions and download drivers for your setup..

Still haven't got mine working... one scan and it dies. I notice the light is half-on and when i try to scan the transport moves back and forth an inch about 5 times and gives me the ubiquitous <20004> error. If i'd paid any more than $30 i'd be pretty pissed.. but i'm coming to the conclusion we've just come across a rare thing: a truly defective product from a company unable to recuperate from such a mistake!
natron out

Hi folks - I've got the small easyphoto reader that has the green button on top and scans small photos - i hope this is the one everyone is talking about!!
I have the original easyphot cd here.
This site given previously by Mike also seems to have the drivers (downloaded but not checked at time of this message)
http://www.windrivers.com/company/stormtech/index.htm
I am using win 98 & win2000 so I'm having a great time - old cd works great on 98 but hates 2000!
If anyone needs a copy of the cd - email me and I'll try to upload it to you - expect a long download time!!!
Have fun!!

I am also in need of the easyphoto imagewave scanner driver.. I seem not to be able ot find a sit that i am able to download this driver... could someone show me a way to looke for a driver that is compatible with win98,,,, thanks

All the above problems were solved by the update posted on EasyPhoto's sight before they went under. The latest software version 2.7 is included with all the Adobe Photodeluxe sotftware Home and Office. The update to your driver can be found at the Scansoft sight. The person who thought it was okay to have his scanner light on all the time, probably burned it out, the update fixes this problem. EasyPhoto was not designed for NT. I own EasyPoto Reader and the EasyWave Scanner they both work fine. The reader works fine on Window 95,I haven't tried the version command in Config.sys yet for Windows 98,but it may help for the reader, these are 16 bit drivers.

i recently installed easyphoto image wave on win.me and i keep getting the message kernall32.dll try restartin computer... this keeps happining even after i do?!?! any help?

I jsut upgraded to Microsoft Millenium --I also am have the the same problem:
error Kernel 32.Dll --unloaded and reloaded program 3 times still get the same error --Scannerworks great under Win 98 --If you get any help please le me know --Thanks Frank

Having the same Kernell32.dll problem after "upgrading" to Win Me. I tried to re-install all EasyPhoto software for SmartPage Pro with not much success: the scanner calibrates itself but the first trial to scan anything, be it a photo or a text, results in a similar message: ...error in Kernell 32.dll. The program will be terminated. I even tried to fix the problem by instaling some other TWAIN driver - again no success. Any ideas (except for buying a new scanner)?
