Easy CD Creator Error

I was trying to burn a CD and when I pushed record I received the error message "Warning: Reservation Conflict. "This drive cannot be used because it is already being used by "Roxio DirectCD Kernal". Could anyone tell me what this means or how to fix whatever is wrong

Are you using a CD-R or a CD-RW?
Direct CD is all over CD-RW's like white on rice. Sometimes open session CD-R's as well.
Try Ctrl+Alt+Del. Highlight Direct CD. Click 'End Task'.
If this has been a naggin problem, go to Start>Run. Type 'msconfig'>OK. Highlight the 'Startup" tab. Uncheck the box by DirectCD. Then click 'OK'. You can reboot then or wait til later. (You already killed the process with Ctrl+Alt+Del)

That Disc has probably been formatted for use with directCD. You'll have to erase it before you can use it with EZcdcreator.

Ben is correct. I tried a cd that had been formatted as direct cd tonight and got the same message.
