Has anyone used Intelligent Updater to update their virus definitions for Norton Antivirus? If so, you know the message that comes up when updater is finished,"A Symantec product has been found and uses the latest engine available. However, if you have any older versions, you must use Intelligent Updater version 2". My question is where do you get version 2? There is no reference to it on Symantec's website. Could this be an old message Symantec forgot to update? If not, then where do you get Intelligent Updater version 2???? Thanks to all who respond.
No idea about Ver 2, but I've used this method of updating on Norton AntiVirus back to 2001 so I assume "the older version" must be older than that. If you only have one Norton product say Norton AntiVirus then you can safely assume it has found it and updated it.

Occasionlly Norton Live Update throws a wobbler and gets corrupted. The only solution is to uninstall Norton, then reinstall it.
I stopped using Norton a couple of months ago and use Kaspersky instead, which actually found SEVEN viruses on my computer that Norton missed. Plus it doesnt take up as much RAM to run.
Do yourself a favour and ditch the speccy Dr. Norton quick.
