See Mark's msge from July 24, 2002 at 12:43:59 Pacific and Mike's answer on same.
I have sm problem as Mark (pop up window at log on saying dw.exe caused invalid page fault...) and want to know more b4 doing what Mike suggests (removing "media loads installer".
-What impact on other programs such as anti-virus or firewalls if I remove "media loads installer? -I notice from Mark's transcript, that the invalid page fault is not always the same. Does this program identify a real problem that should be looked after? -The window that pops-up at log-on has the Windows' logo, so what other uses does dw.exe have? -On my PC this program is located: "C:\Program Files\DownloadWare\dw.exe"/H.
My children use KaZaA so I have to live with it. Can this problem resurface since I have to keep KaZaA? Thanks.

Idufort, Uninstalling the DownloadWare should not have any effect on your Antivirus or Firewall Programs. You can read about it at this link.

You can also download KazaA LITE which is a Adware/Spyware Free version of KazaA. If you do uninstall the version of KazaA which you now have prior to installing KazaA LITE. Here's the link. http://www.kazaalite.com/
Hope this helps. Tufenuf
