DVD RW and DVD ROM

I have a Pioneer DVD RW and Pioneer DVD ROM. The DVD RW is set to master and DVD ROM is set as slave, both on the secondary ide. Problem is the DVD ROM thinks it is only a cd rom. Would it work if both were set to master? Anyone know?

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO,

Have to have Master and Slave. Try not to set any jumper on your master DVD RW. see if it work.. I have seen this type of problems every day.
