I have a Samsung DVD that used to work. After a crash of the hard drive it no longer works. I keep getting (DVD Decoder not Detected) What are they? What happened to them? How do I get them back, if I can? Or where can I buy them or down load them? DEAD IN THE WATER NEED HELP!

DVD Decoders translate the video so that they are viewable to a certain program or computer. Usually DVD Decoders come with your DVD drive. If you still have your cd, look on there. If not, you can go to www.Divx.com and get a divx decoder. I remember seeing something like "The Player" that was a divx decoder/player. Also WinDVD is a good one. (That is what I use).
