I get the message during startup saying that I have a duplicated device listed in my system.ini file. With the device listed as a VCD (video controller??).
Can you help me identify where the problem lies?Thanks in advance,
Adam

Adam,

I'm having the same problem as adam did, but my ini file says this for the [386Enh]:
[386Enh]
ebios=*ebios
woafont=dosapp.fon
mouse=*vmouse, msmouse.vxd
device=*dynapage
device=motvcd.vxd
device=*vpd
device=*int13
WPSLPT1=0
device=*vcd
device=*enable
keyboard=*vkd
should I do the same thing that A1 told adam to do or what?

I'm working on a tech support case and so far, no one has been able to give me any advice on this. I've got a customer who is getting an error only when TTInitialSizes in NonWindowsApp in System.Ini is checked. Does ANYONE in this forsaken industry actually KNOW what the TTInitialSizes entry in System.Ini in Windows IS or DOES?

I encounter this problem too.
Initialy, the windows give me error message,
some kind like this: "found duplicated file = vcd".
The message also ask me to remove the duplicated files, so this is what i did, i save the original "system.ini" as "system.bak", and then, i remove the line under [386Enh], device=motvcd.vxd, and i save the original system.ini. restart, no more problem, but i am not sure whether it's right solution or not. Any better solution?
and anyone know what is 'device=motvcd.vxd' mean?Thanks.
