dual monitors`

I've recently purchased a new, bigger monitor but don't wish to put the old into storage. I've had the video cards for a while. One is a Voodoo3 2000 AGP and the other i believe to be an onboard card ATI Rage 2c or something like that. I've been using the vodoo for a while now and have had the other card just sitting there. When I tried to connect my old monitor back into that onboard card, windows doesn't detect it. In fact, the older card doesn't even show up in my device manager. Is there anything I can do to activate that card? I've tried installing drivers but each time it just finds the voodoo and windows claims new hardware so it doesn't let me go ahead with the Rage card. Any help would be nice. I just need somewhere to start. Thanks. -Erick
It sounds like the on board adapter is disabled either in the Bios or a jumper on the motherboard. I wouldn't count on it working for dual monitors though.

you need to be using cards that support dual monitors. Not all cards do. try microsoft's webpage for info.

One video card has to be an AGP and the other a PCI type card before it'll work. I've been there, done that.

Some motherboards automatically disable the integrated (onboard) card. Some bios' will let you turn it back on and some won't. Some will do it through the bios and some will have a jumper on the motherboard.
