Comment: I am thinking of going with DSL. I have a multiboot PC with 98/NT4/w2k/XP. Will I need to put DSL software on all OSes? I will only be using 1 OS at a time. No sharing. Also a laptop with XP and older PC with Win95 will access the same connection. Thanks. This post is in relation to post 169804 in this same forum. But my earlier post focused on just the router.

Reply: (edit)Hi CyberDude, WebsWonder, hi everyoneIn addition to WebsWonder response #1, all you have to do is set up the TCP/IP protocol properly for each OS. Hint: The Default Gateway IP address will be your router it's LAN site IP address, not the IP address assigned by your ISP. Best Regards and Wishes, The Count, Co-webmaster of mesich.com

Reply: (edit)So no software has to be installed on each OS? Tell me if I have this correct. Configure the router first. Then go to each OS TCP/IP stack and enter the router address, etc. Of course to do this you have to have networking installed from each OS CD. Correct? Thanks!
