Comment:

Im using Windows 98. 3 of my drives is reporting the "Drive X is using an MS-DOS compatibility mode file system" in the system properties.

Beside File System: It says Some drives are using MS-DOS compatibilty.

I have 3 drives. One is attached on the motherboard which is not affected, but the other 2 drives (one is partitioned into 2) are on the Promise UltraTX133 as I have an old motherboard. Its been fine until now. I suspect it was Nero 6 Imagedrive which messed things up.

So, my C drive is fine, but the other hard-drives report MS-DOS compatibilty mode file system.

Ive tried the following:

Unistalled Nero 6,
Virus scan,
Spyware scan,
Checked Autoexec.bat and config.sys, nothing suspicous
Checked Advanced setting in msconfig.exe, no checkmark next to Force Compatibility mode disk access
Checked the File System Properties in the System Properties, again all clear
Nothing unusual in the bootlog.txt
Looked for NOIDE in the registry, none there,
Checked the Device Manager, all reports ok,

Im at a loss what it can be?

Shall I reinstall the Promise cards drivers?

Could it be something to do with the boot sector of the drives or is it only the C drive that has a boot sector?
