Has anyone experience a situation where the drive activity persists for a long time even when the system is otherwise idle? Virtual memory is Win assigned; I am not using EMM386 or similar RAM tools.I checked for virus but all seems normal; condition occasionally occurs whether I am web connected or not; no WIN scheduled task account for this aboration. Defrag does not help situation; ample C: drive free space. Thoughts please and thanks!

Any file swapping software? A screensaver perhaps? What's running in the background?
