Had a registry problem with MS Messenger which windows 98 fixed, but since then my C:Windows/Desktop folder is holding my sons files from his documents folder AND the original contents of the desktop folder are now in a folder called C:Dr. Watson/Desktop. What has caused this and can I fix it by recopying everything back to proper folders and getting rid of Dr. Watson?

Dear Jan,

Just in case you didn't know, Dr. Watson is a troubleshooting program that comes with Windows. It's possible that there was a problem involving the desktop settings or wahtever and Dr. Watson saved everything to a new folder. Yes, you should be able to move/copy everything back to the original locations with no trouble.

Best wishes,
David P.
