whenever I download a program it comes up in MSWord only. I can't run the program. I've tried to rightclick on the program to open with Winzip and it errors out saying it is a format it can't understand. How can I repair this. Thanks

Hi Rich, parker, hi everyone,
I guess the association of .ZIP files was altered! Let's do it again: - run Windows Explorer - select a Zip file - keep the finger on Shift while right-clicking on the zip file - in the menu, choose Open with... - in the Open with dialog box, enable "Always use this program to open files of this type" - look for WinZip and click on OK
That's it (I hope)!

I'm trying to download .exe files but they only come up in MY Download Files Folder as MSWord documents. As an example I tried to download a driver for my canon printer. the file name is (i550_98we_7409.exe)but it only comes in msword document gibberish. Thanks

When you go to download it, Right click on the link and select "Save Target As". You should get a Save As dialog box where you can choose the destination folder and the Filename of choice. The filename should default to the original file's name with the correct extension.
