I am currently running on a PCI Standard Graphic Adapter (VGA) and have only 16 colors. I have been trying to get a better graphic adapter to have at least 256 colors. Is there a way I could download one from driverguide.com and if so.. how would I go about searching for one? Any suggestions would be helpful, thanks~!

To get the best driver for your card go to the manufacturer of the video card and use their support driver website to download the latest driver for your operating system. Make sure the on-board video is disabled in your bios to avoid any conflicts, by checking the device manager. If your card is not listed in the device manager, and you do not know what video card you have, download and use either; Belarc Advisor or AIDA32 to determine all the components on your computer both are free.

You have to determine the make and model number of your graphics adapter first. If it's a card, take it out and inspect it for a manufacturer and model. If this is unsuccessful, try and find the fcc# and run a trace on it at http://www.fcc.gov/oet/fccid/
Then do a search for the driver.
