Downloaded files disappearing

When I download zip files off the internet using netscape 4.73 and IE 5.5, the files disappear when I go to click on them. This does not happen with every zip file though but most of them.
Try doing a find for the files on your hard drive. Browsers save a temporary file until it is finshed downloading then move the file to where it was supposed to download. It sounds like the files are being moved to another part of the hard drive somewhere.

I agree with Nick. when you are downloading you may want to send them to "My Documents" or makeup a new file to put them all in.

Also, if you still can't find them you may want to try installing WinAmp again.
Whats WinAmp got to do with this problem?Do you find the missing files by listening to the songs they sing? If so what songs do missing files sing? Just Kidding. When you download them and are given the option to save them write down where you save them to and look there when the download is complete.
