This "downloadalot" is driving me crazy. I've tried everything I can think of. Cookies, history, and temps. Still, every other time, or so, I open my IE, this darned "downloadalot" keeps poping in front of my home page. The home page is the default setting.....can someone please help me with this?

James I went to Google and found out that Downloadalot is a shareware site. Try going to Start/Run/msconfig and look in the startup folder to make sure it hasn't been put in there. Their website is listed in Google and you could always send them an email and ask how to get rid of it.

yes, there is a web sight, but it's exactly the page that's popping up. There is no address and I can't find an 800 number for them either...
can't find any mention of this in msconfig.. thanks for the input...
