The thing is i want to have songs on my computer without using Kazaa abd other softwares like that, which are infested with spyware and viruses. I'm asking the impossible.. How can i still download songs without using ricky softwares like Kazaa???? I use windows 98.

As someone who is responsible for cleaning up the mess on teenagers' computers, I can only concur with your suspician of any internet service that attracts young and trusting people. These services also attract malware distributers. I just had a look at a computer recently acquired by a friend that had been used by a teenager on the net. I loaded ad-aware without any updates (not currently connected) and it found 984 problems including over 800 files! There are plenty of MP3 ripping programs available (most are free) with which you can convert your CDs. In most countries this is legal.

Keep in mind that you are at risk of wrath of the RIAA. Just today I read about a 60 year old woman that was presented with a bill for $4700. Use Ares instead of Kazaa. Free and fast downloading. I'm a big fan of Smallville. I got the whole season 3 and current to date season 4 from Ares P2P program. hook up to Ares not Kazaa. more or less u get protection from malware,spyware or internet parasite.
