i need a download manager, google searches came back with ones that are too bloated and dont do what i want, i just need some recommendations for some good ones. anyone know of any good ones?

Personally I use FDA (Free Downloads Accelerator). Unfortunately you cant download it any more but would be happy to upload somewhere if you want it.

Try TrueDownloader (http://francis.dupont.free.fr/truedownloader/). It is completely free and open source.
Another alternative and quite good one: Free Download Manager (FDM). It is also completely free.

I myself use Opera Browser which has its own integrated download manager which in my opinion cant be beat by any donwload manager out there

death, whats fda like? id like to give it a try. studentin, i just downloaded truedownloader so im gonna try that, i have used fdm before and it caused my internet explorer to stop connectin to the net, so i had to mess with that to get it working. true downloader looks good though, very simple just lookin at the screen shots, i dont want anything to power hungry. thanks again guys.
