We have a program written in Clipper which calls DOS's print.exe to print out a file on disk. Obviously we are getting the 'bad command or file name error' as there is no print.exe in Win 98. I found one on Win95 CD under ..\OLDMSDOS but is does not work under Windows 98 (Incorrect DOS version error). Is there a way around this? - unfortunately we don't have the source code of the program and we'll have to live with the call to the print command (under DOS). Any ideas??
Best regards
Danie

Never tried this under Win9x... but you might explore the setver command. Type setver /? for a brief explanation.

Yeah, once it's configured for print.exe (if possible), you'd want it loaded for each session in config.sys, if it isn't already:

devicehigh=c:\windows\command\setver.exe

(or wherever it is)

-uses less than 1K of mem
