Doese direct x 7 give proper reading of Voodoo 3 3000 total memory?

I have the chance of buying a voodoo 3 3000 from a mate. Which has 16 megs of ram. However..when we looked at his direct x setup..the voodoo card was shown to have 15 or 15 something meg. Could there be faulty memry?? Or is it normal for direct x to display other thatn the actual total memory?? Anyone with a voodoo 3..can you check?? thanks in advance

It may give proper reading of vodooo.You may have to download the latest driver of directx 7.So please visit the following link to download the same :

Also beware of the mixing of the conversion units. 1000 and 1024.

As above...if it was given in Kilobytes.

it was prolly something like 15324KB
[just a guess..don't wanna do the actual math]...so yes it was correct

I have a voodoo 3 and also gives memory of 15.0 MB in direct X 7 diagnostics
