does kazaalite reserve file space

Comment:
I started downloading a video file in kazaalite that should be 590 MB. (I only want part of it - I can look at it in AVIpreview). So far it shows only 5 MB downloaded on the Traffic page, but in MySharedFolder the .dat file shows 399MB. Why is this? Does Kazaalite reserve that much file space at the start so the file will be contiguous? Please help.
Also, is there a utility (free) where I can give it the name of a file on my computer, and it shows a picture of where all the file segments are on the hard drive, like the defrag screen-view?

I found out this much:
It reserves space for regular files in these steps: 102K 202K 702K 1002K ...
Then if you choose "find more sources", it immediately adds a much larger space, such as 35,000K, regardless of whether it starts downloading from more sources right away

Summary: Hi all, as I've mentionned here , the swapfile *usage* is the point, not the *size*. I've already seen a swapfile size of 120 Mb but 0 byte usage and a swapfile of 10 Mb with 1 Mb usage. The problem ...
