their program cleans the registry better than any other I have used. Don't be surprised if it finds 1,000 obsolete entries.

As it warns, be sure to back up the registry first. just in case.

Thanks sonnysandiego for your response, but I had over 400 invalid entries or something like that and I wasn't sure if removing/deleting those would cause a major problem; If you could advise me on these issues I would really appreciate it.. Thanks a million though for responding...

just backup the registry first. then delete every bad entry it finds.

Thanks again sonnysandiego for your response, but here is what I see and I'm facing; how does one backup everything? I see where there is an option to backup, but when I do click on it nothing appears. Now I know it must be simple and I'm probably making a mountain out of a mole hill as the ole saying goes, but I'm lost. If you could please advise further...

Thank You So Much,

Reno

HI all
You very likely have the registry backed up. To see if you do ,go Start/find and type in rb*.cab they should be in C:\WINDOWS\SYSBCKUP, look at the dates makeing sure they are current. along with knowing how to do a registry restore.
"Boot into Dos (Not WIndow Dos) and at the prompt type in scanreg/restore and select a good boot up date." All programs loaded after date you pick will need to be reinstalled.
Doing the above will replace the reg. with one before running regseeker.

Hello Everyone and Here I go again.. Please forgive me and my lack of experince and knowledge with this program; However I wanted to post this and Thank all of you guys for your help regarding this issue.. I do have one more question and I promise I'll not ask again... Well let's hope I don't..LOL If anyone could advise me what these colors represent on this program such as the green, red, etc. I would dearly appreciate this too. I have searched for any help options with this program but none to be found. If anyone could, please advise me if those colors are ok to delete too. I did delete the active x that were no longer in use, or so it said and no problem at this time with those delations..

Thank You Again,

Reno

Reno,
Have a look at this long but interesting thread on the subject as I think it may answer much of your questions.

Note: RegSeeker will create a backup.

Hi Reno... In the RegSeeker window, in the lower left corner, you will find a check box labled "Backup before deletion". It is checked by default, but be sure it is checked and a backup will be made for anything you delete.

In the list of items in the left panel, clicking the "Backups" entry displays a list of backups previously created and allows one to restore a backup. It has nothing to do with making a backup. As stated by others, you can safely delete anything RegSeeker finds simply because it IS backed up.
