do not want mpegs to open in winamp

My mpegs are opening in winamp. I made it where the mpegs should open in windows media player but it still opens in winamp.

In winamp, in preferences unselect video type formats such as avi,mpeg,mpg. It will solve the problem. And select media player to always open video type files. If you can not find, uninstall winamp and in reinstallation there is an option or list for unsellecting movie formats. In winamp 2.x there is no such problems.
Summary: You could try stripping MSConfig so that very few programs are loading when you start the computer. If the problems persist after this then it could be a hardware issue. We would need to Quick Restore...
