anyone have any suggestions as to the best DIVX player? i downloaded GlobalDivx Player 1.8, which didn't work at all. I downloaded GlobalDivx Player 1.9, that installed fine, but only played audio.

thanks in advance....

Just download the DivX 3.11 alpha codec, and use Windows Media Player. You can find the DivX 3.11 alpha codec on Google or something, just type it in.

Did you try the latest version of Windows Media Player? If you have that try downloading the divx codec at www.divx.com
Hope that helps.

You can also try the BSPlayer found at:

http://bsplayer.cjb.net/

this IMHO is way better than the MS Media Player, especially the new versions of media player, since you can no longer control the CPU or quality setting which makes a huge difference in the playback quality.

BSPlayer looks like crap =) but works great (it is skinable so there's hope for the looks)
