Display Settings Won't Save

Recently my computer decided to revert to 16 colors and 640x480 resolution as well as dump my windows password. I got the password problem fixed, but the display settings simply won't stay where i put them. I restart at the computer's prompting and it goes back to 16 colors and 480x640.

What is going on? Does anyone know? Please Help!

Try reinstalling the video card drivers.
