I have a problem setting up my display adapter... I have installed the driver for the monitor, which can support resolutions greater than 800x600 ... however, I think the display adapter is preventing me from going beyound 640x480 and only 16 colors !!!
Please help...
I need step by step "how to" ...
My system setup is the following:
pentium-mmx-233mhz
64-mb-RAM
windows-95thanks for all the help, you guys rock...

perhaps I need to open up the computer tower and find out specifically what the make/model of my video card is, because right now i am no idea what either the make/model are...
if someone could walk me through the steps to accessing my video card info, eiter by software or by tearing open the computer, please help...and of course, how to put it all back together with no problems.

If you want to go the easy route first, go to Start>Run, key in: dxdiag
You will get the Direct X diagnostic tool.
Here, go to the Display tab and check out the info about the Display Adapter.If that route does not work, download the Belarc Advisor. Easy download. Gives you lots of info.
