Display problem from avi files

CPU/Ram: celeron 500mhz, 128sdram

Hi.

i already download a video clip (avi files) from Internet. That avi files cannot display any video, just can hear that sound.

when i click preview that avi files, a error message display:-

"video not available, cannot find 'vids:xvid' decompressor".

i appreciate to help.

That could be a DivX decompressor. Here is the like to the free version.

You actually need a xvid codec for that video file. Go to www.xvid.org.

I to am having problems with my avi files, when i run it says that vids:xvid decompressor not found. I have install from the url above but still nothing, i keep coming up with the same message.
