Display problem from avi files

Hi.
i already download a video clip (avi files) from Internet. That avi files cannot display any video, just can hear that sound.
when i click preview that avi files, a error message display:-
"video not available, cannot find 'vids:xvid' decompressor".

You actually need a xvid codec for that video file. Go to www.xvid.org.
