I have just inherited a 166MHz computer that currently operates W98. It originally came with W95. I want to convert back to W95 but am not certain if the conversion to W98 was an upgrade or a re-format of the drive from FAT16 to FAT32. Where should I look to find out?

If all you want to do is check the Fat version you could do a right click on the drive and go to properties. Under type it will tell you whether it is 16 or 32. but why does it matter? Windows 95 will run on Fat32.

I have a bad sector on my hard disk because of which I am not able to convert my hard drive(FAT16) into FAT32 using the Drive Converter Utility which ships with Windows 98. Please tell me whether there is another way to convert my drive to FAT32 and if this will create any problems.
